MintTec is seeking candidates to fill a full time position as a Systems Specialist, primarily to be based at our head office in Winchester.

The role

This is an exciting role and will encompass both technical support and elements of pre-sales, executed either from our head office or at our Customers sites. This will entail:

• Client systems and engineering helpdesk support. Responding to client technical requests, emergency break/fix, remote or on site (approx. 40%)
• Internal MintTec systems support, basic website support, and emerging technology bench testing for client suitability (approx. 10%)
• Presales including attending sales meetings generally alongside a Sales Consultant, and Account Management from a technical and design aspect (approx. 50%)

Hence the role covers both engineering support, which will take priority, and pre-sales. Client needs will dictate the actual split between these areas.

Profile and Experience

The successful candidate will need to be energetic and enthusiastic with a keen willingness to learn about emerging technologies. A strong commercial/sales bias would be ideal.

Experience in a number of the following environments:

• Mulit-site LANs/WANs
• Windows Server 2000 through to Windows Server 2008 in 50+ user environments
• Microsoft Exchange
• HP, Dell & IBM Server & Desktop hardware support
• SAN Storage
  
• Cisco, Dell & HP network switche
• Cisco router
• Microsoft Desktop products (from Windows 2000 through to Windows 7)
• Helpdesk support in both 1st line & 2nd line roles

5-10 years relevant experience, and with relevant qualifications:

• CCNA or MCSE level experience ideal, and 1 year working with it
• or other relevant qual (eg VCE VMWare cert eng), LAN/ SAN/ Windows server/ VoIP experience.

MintTec will also provide on-going relevant and specific training to support the development of a successful candidate.

Package

We are open to a reasonable range which would be lined to fair market rate for experience & fit. In addition, we offer car allowance, and after a probation period a company pension (up to 3% matching), and BUPA health cover.
