We care for the environment
Everything returned to us goes through a testing process in our recycling facilities to assess the options available. Wherever possible, equipment will be re-used through charity schemes or local schools.
However, any equipment that is not viable for continued operation is recycled or disposed of following the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directives.
The European Commission has adopted these two proposals for the recovery of waste equipment and the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The Directives are designed to tackle the rapidly increasing stream of waste electrical and electronic equipment. They also complement EU measures on landfill and incineration of waste.
In addition, and for your complete peace of mind regarding the security or your information, we wipe and/or destroy any data contained in recycled products as standard.
